Kazakhstan: Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) permit changes.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced changes to the rules for applying for an ICT permit.

The changes are as follows:

  • The employer of applicant must provide evidence that the job role was advertised for at least 15 days in support of ICT permit application.
  • Special conditions, such as providing training for Kazakhstan nationals, are now also applicable for renewal applications. Any host company who has a program for increasing local workforce are exempt from these special conditions.
  • The ICT application no longer requires education certificates. Alternatively, a letter from the host company stating that the employee has met the skills/qualifications for the job role will suffice instead.
