India
India offers several types of visas depending on the duration and purpose of the visit. Here is a summary of the primary visa categories:
Primarily for tourism and short business visits. Typically issued for six months to five years, depending on the applicant's nationality, with some eligible for up to 10 years (notably Canada, Japan, UK, and the US).
Available for certain nationals, valid for 365 days from the date of issuance with an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). It requires online application at least four days prior to arrival and supports multiple entries.
Categorized under the broader Tourist Visa but specifically intended for those engaging in business activities such as meetings, conferences, or establishing business connections.
Employment Visa: For those with a job offer from an Indian company, valid for the duration of the contract or five years, whichever is shorter. Employment visa subcategories are granted according to the specific reasons for the visit.
