Myanmar
Myanmar offers several types of visas depending on the duration and purpose of the visit. Here is a summary of the primary visa categories:
Business Visas are tailored for individuals planning to engage in business-related activities in Myanmar.
The e-Visa approval letter is valid for 90 days from the issue date. It is critical to enter Myanmar within this period as the visa will not be honored after expiration. The permitted stay for a Business Visa is 70 days from the date of arrival, which provides ample time for most business engagements.
To qualify for a Business Visa, applicants must be invited by a registered Myanmar company or a registered Chamber of Commerce Association. Invitations from NGO/INGO are not accepted for this visa category. Applicants must provide an invitation letter and the company registration certificate of the inviting entity. The invitation should clearly state the purpose and duration of the visit, and the inviting company must be actively registered with Myanmar Companies Online (MyCO).
The employment visa allows for a stay of exactly 70 days and is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. This visa is extendable in Myanmar but cannot be renewed or refunded once issued.
A stay permit is necessary for foreigners intending to reside in Myanmar for more than 90 days.
Applicants must enter Myanmar on a Business Visa and can apply for a Stay Permit after their arrival. This permit allows the initial 70-day stay to be extended.
