Ghana
Ghana offers several types of visas depending on the duration and purpose of the visit. Here is a summary of the primary visa categories:
Short-term Visas
Business Visa: Issued for short-term business purposes such as attending meetings, conferences, or trade exhibitions, usually valid for up to 90 days.
Long-term Visas
Work Visa: Granted to individuals employed in Ghana, based on a valid job offer or employment contract, usually valid for one to three years and renewable.
Residence Permit: For expatriates planning to reside in Ghana long-term for non-tourism purposes, such as retirement, valid for up to one year and renewable.
Permanent residence permit: Issued to individuals who have legally resided in Ghana for a specified period (usually five years or more) and wish to settle permanently. Offers indefinite stay and certain rights, but not citizenship.
