Egypt
Egypt offers several types of visas depending on the duration and purpose of the visit. Here is a summary of the primary visa categories:
The visit visa for Egypt is designed for individuals visiting family or friends or attending short-term business engagements. It is typically valid for 30 to 90 days, depending on the purpose of the visit and the applicant's nationality, and generally allows a stay of up to 90 days. This visa can be issued as either a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. A sponsor is required, which could be a family member, friend, or business entity in Egypt. The host or organization must provide an invitation letter and supporting documents to facilitate the application process.
The business visa for Egypt is intended for conducting business activities, including meetings, negotiations, and attending trade fairs or conferences. It is typically valid for 1 to 3 months and generally allows for a stay limited to the duration of the business activities, often up to 30 days per visit. This visa can be issued as either a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. An invitation from an Egyptian business entity or organization is required to apply for this visa. The sponsor manages the visa application process and provides the necessary invitation letter.
The work visa (Employment Visa) for Egypt is intended for foreign nationals employed by an Egyptian company or organization. It is typically valid for 6 months to 1 year, depending on the terms of the employment contract. This visa supports a long-term stay based on the employment contract and is renewable upon contract renewal. An Egyptian employer must act as the sponsor, and the visa grants the holder the right to work and reside in Egypt. The employer is responsible for managing all aspects of the visa application, including obtaining necessary approvals from the Ministry of Manpower, conducting medical exams, and completing security checks.
