Iceland
Iceland offers several types of visas depending on the duration and purpose of the visit. Here is a summary of the primary visa categories:
Business Visa: For individuals attending business meetings, conferences, or other short-term professional engagements, also valid for up to 90 days.
Work Visa: For individuals who have a job offer in Iceland, allowing them to reside and work in the country. The duration depends on the employment contract and is renewable.
Permanent residence permit: Issued to individuals who have resided legally and continuously in Iceland for at least four years (or longer, depending on specific cases). This permit allows indefinite stay and provides rights similar to Icelandic citizens, excluding voting in parliamentary elections.
There may be various ways in which citizenship can be obtained depending on the circumstances. Please reach out to Hudson McKenzie for an assessment to determine the best route.
