Sweden
Sweden offers several types of visas depending on the duration and purpose of the visit. Sweden is a member of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Here is a summary of the primary visa categories:
Citizens of certain non-EU countries must hold a short-stay visa when travelling to the schengen area. This visa is required for individuals attending business meetings, conferences, trade fairs, seminars. A schengen visa is an entry permit for non-EU nationals to make a short, temporary visit of up to 90 days in any 180-day period to a country in the schengen area.
Work Visa: Necessary for individuals who have secured a job in Sweden, requiring a prior job offer.
EU blue card: For highly skilled non-EU nationals meeting specific salary and qualification criteria, facilitating longer-term residency and work opportunities.
Self-employment visa: For entrepreneurs intending to start or manage their own business in Sweden.
Permanent Residency: Available to non-EU nationals who have continuously lived in Sweden for at least five years, facilitating a transition from temporary to permanent status, allowing them to live and work indefinitely in Sweden.
