A schengen visa is an entry permit for non-EU nationals to make a short, temporary visit of up to 90 days in any 180-day period to a country in the schengen area.

- Family reunification residence permit: For family members of Finnish residents or citizens wishing to live in Finland.
- Entrepreneur residence permit: For entrepreneurs planning to start or invest in a business in Finland
- Generally combined with a residence permit, issued to individuals who have a job offer from a Finnish employer and meet the necessary conditions to work and live in Finland.
- Eligibility typically requires having lived in Finland continuously for four years with a residence permit and meeting criteria such as language proficiency and successful integration.
- For highly skilled non-EU nationals, offering the opportunity to work and reside in Finland and other EU countries, provided the applicant meets the high education or professional experience criteria.
