Iraq: Airports are no longer issuing exit visas

The Iraqi Ministry of the Interior (MOI) recently announced that any foreign nationals leaving Iraq can no longer obtain an exit visas at the MOI Visa Offices at all federal Iraqi airports.

Instead, all requests for exit visas must now be submitted and processed through the MOI Residency and Immigration Office.

This also includes all exit visa request letters and overstay fines payments, in which must also be submitted at the MOI Residency and Immigration Office.

Exit Visas from Iraq are specifically required for foreign nationals who have remained in the country for more than ten days from entry.
