Global Immigration Update – Ireland

Ireland: 90-Day validity of letter of approval clarified by authorities.

The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services (INIS) has recently clarified an existing rule regarding the ‘Atypical Worker Scheme’, in which all letters of approval that are issued for entry clearance must be used within the 90-days of issuance.

This means that approval letters will not be valid outside this 90-day period, in which the rule applies to all non-EEA nationals that are contracted to undertake short-term work (15-90 days) for an Irish entity.
