Global Immigration Update – Canada

Canada: The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has designated new countries, regarding residents who require an immigration medical examination (IME).

The following countries have now been designated:

  • Singapore
  • Timor-Leste
  • Tunisia
  • Fiji

Furthermore, the following countries are now no longer designated:

  • Belize
  • Argentina
  • Bahrain
  • Surinam
  • Venezuela
  • Colombia
  • Wallis and Futuna
  • Seychelles

The IME is required to all residence applying for a temporary or permanent residence visa.
