Senior Marketing Manager - UK - London
The firm has just completed an internal strategy review and would like to produce and implement an exciting new branding. The role is now needed for a senior marketing manager to engage with the internal team and external stakeholders to highlight the firm’s differences, its tenacity and its values and to implement its longer-term marketing plans.
Your key responsibilities at Hudson McKenzie:
Digital
- Re-design HM website, working with the website designer and external 3rd party support to ensure the content is up to date and amplifies our brand.
- Development and ownership of the social media strategy for HM, including training for staff.
Client materials
- Ownership of the pitch process and documentation for HM, providing guidance and advice on pitches and ensuring that the firm has a ‘hub’ of the latest credential information.
- Ensuring that the types of media used and the format of presentations and pitches are inline with the most up to date being used in the market.
External recognition
- Management of the legal directory strategy and process for HM, including content production and project management of all deadlines and references.
- Recommendations on legal awards entries and preparation of submissions.
- Drafting of HM content, including news stories and articles.
Events
- Oversight and running of all client events, ensuring that the content is linked to our brand and that outcomes are linked to business plans and tracked accordingly.
- Upcoming focus on celebrating the firm’s new branding.
Vendor management
- Management of any 3rd party marketing relationships, including PR agencies and digital support.
Department support
- Development of marketing plans and campaigns.
- Assisting on day-to-day marketing queries and content production.
- Working with lawyers to help them promote their commercial objectives and develop their marketing skills.
Internal communications
- Development and delivery of an internal communications programme for HM.
Data and KPIs
- Tracking key marketing activities with suggested KPIs and looking for opportunities to use internal data to enhance our client and marketing insights.
- Analysis of website and social media data to enhance our digital presence and develop our digital strategy.
Budget
- Management and tracking of the marketing budget and preparing business cases for any additional spend.
Team management
- Management of the marketing team and contractor support.
Valuable Skills:
- Senior marketing experience in a professional services environment across a variety of marketing mediums, ranging from digital to in-person events.
- Experience in website management, SEO and social media strategy.
- Creativity, with an eye to producing content that is different and unique.
- Strong written and copywriting skills, with excellent attention to detail and experience in producing pitch documents, directory submissions and internal communications.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and deal with deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the market. You will interpret sector specific issues in order to devise effective and winning approaches, taking into account client perspectives
- Line management and supervision.
- Chartered Institute ofMarketing qualification preferred.
