Senior Immigration Manager - UK - London

Your key responsibilities at Hudson McKenzie:

  • Process UK immigration applications including but not limited to Sponsor Licences, SW& GBM visas, British Citizenship, Indefinite Leave to Remain, SpousalVisas, carry out immigration audits etc.
  • Be a knowledge champion for the team for all UK immigration matters. Keep up to date on latest immigration laws and changes.
  • Regularly attendILPA and other industry association meetings.
  • Have a strong rapport with the Home Office and take part in Home Office strategic committee meetings.
  • Review and sign-off junior staff’s work on a daily basis.
  • Take an active role in client development and account management.
  • Creating opportunities to partner with relocation management companies, law firms, accountants, and other related consultancies for business immigration work.
  • Prospecting new immigration and business from direct corporates alongside the BD team.
  • Prospecting new immigration and business from direct corporates alongside the BD team.
  • Create and implement strategic annual/bi-annual business plans for growth.
  • Regularly update the firm’s CRM system alongside the BD team.
  • Prepare SLA’s, contracts, fee lists for all clients.
  • Take an active role in RFI/RFP process and prepare all necessary tender documents, power point presentations etc.
  • Manage and grow the UK team, including recruiting and interviewing for new hires.
  • Hold regular group training sessions and one-to-one meetings with team members to promote growth within the team and contribute to the team’s technical acumen.
  • Carry out one-to-one staff appraisals.
  • Actively track monthly and yearly billing figures and ensure billing targets are met.
  • Provide ManagementReports.
  • Write/publish immigration alerts and thought leadership articles to be shared with all stakeholders including but not limited to clients, media, social networks such as LinkedIn and any other relevant social platforms. Be an active voice onLinkedIn.
  • Host and present webinars, seminars, and round tables to potential clientele and stakeholders.
  • Attending conferences and networking events both nationally and internationally.
  • Any other relevant duties which are necessary in the course of business.

Valuable Skills:

  • Strong understanding and experience working in the UK business immigration sector.Understanding of the wider relocation sector preferred.
  • 3-5 years+Management experience essential.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and confidence in using own initiative.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Display a positive, can-do attitude at all times.
  • Aptitude with CRM systems and generating productivity reports.
  • StrongPresentation skills i.e., public speaking in front of small and large groups,prepare power point presentations.
  • Good negotiating skills and persuasiveness.
  • Be able to de-escalate any client escalations. Show empathy with clients, where necessary.
  • Commercial and financial acumen at both strategic and day-to-day operational level.
  • GoodMicrosoft Office Skills.
