What is the latest on Visa Application Centres?
Due to the pandemic, some of the Visa Application Centres (VACs) around the world have been closed due to local restrictions.
The UK government advise to go on the TLS website (for Europe and Africa and part of middle east) or the VFS global website (for other countries) which allows you to get information about application centres around the world.
The VFS global and TLS websites will provide up-to-date information on each Visa Application Centre outlining when the centre is open, processing times as well as other important information.
The best place to check any changes to rules, regulations or closures is to check the “news” section of the VAC page which will show up-to-date changes that applicants must be aware of relating to the particular centre.
Most websites have step-by-step instructions on how to book appointments and what the current rules are when attending appointments. Some application centres require you to wear face masks, provide a body temperature reading and keep to social distancing guidelines.
Before attending a VAC make sure you are updated on the current rules and processes to ensure compliance.
