UK Legislation Update: Divorce Law Reformed

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has recently announced that divorcing couples will no longer be able to ‘blame’ each other for the breakdown of their marriage.

The new law, as announced by the Justice Secretary this week, is an iniative by the UK Government to assist in the reduction of family conflict overall.

The most recent development to Divorce Law in the UK will update its 50-year old history, which comes from the outcry for reform from the public.

The Government also hopes that the most recent reform shall also increase the chances of reconciliation after the divorce between both parties.
