New “Golden Visa Programme” for the UAE

August 11, 2021 | Immigration, News

The UAE has announced a new visa route called the Golden Visa Programme. The route is designed to attract coders and software engineers and people with backgrounds in computer science. This can include people who have relevant qualifications and professional experts who have been successful working with international tech firms.

In the past, Golden Visas have been issued to investors and entrepreneurs. Now, the UAE has initiated a national program for coders allowing applications from up to 100,000 eligible applicants with proven success, qualifications and experience. The aim is to attract the world’s most talented coders.

The Golden Visa Programme is available to residents and non-residents and is a long term visa for 5 or 10 years, depending on the applicant’s eligibility.

This opportunity has arisen as the UAE is looking to establish 1000 major digital companies over the next 5 years.
