Long-term visas automatically extended in South Korea

August 12, 2021 | Immigration, News

The South Korean government has confirmed that any Alien Registration Cards (ARCs) which expire between 19th July 2021 and 30th September 2021 will be extended due to the pandemic.

ARCs will be automatically extended for 90 days however this does not apply to those who are not physically inside South Korea on or after the date of the extension program which was 19th July 2021.

The South Korean government has said that the extension has been implemented in order to minimise in-person visits to the local immigration offices due to surging infections.
