Global Immigration Update – Hong Kong
Hong Kong: Visas for same-sex spouses court decision upheld
A previous decision by Hong Kong’s highest court – The ‘Court of Final Appeal’ – recently deterred an initial decision by the lower court regarding same-sex spouses being allowed to hold dependent visas.
Currently, immigration regulations state that a same-sex spouse cannot obtain a dependent visa, in which this was recently appealed by the Director of Immigration.
