GDPR update: new guidance website
The European Commission (EC) has recently released a new website that is aimed at providing further guidance to the upcoming GDPR changes that are due to be implemented in May 2018.
The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) will be a new set of rules that regulate the collecting, storing and disclosure of all personal data of EU citizens.
These changes in privacy and data protection laws will still apply to all UK companies dealing with the EU, despite the ongoing Brexit transition.
The new guidance website is part of the EC program to ensure that all are ready in the run up to the new GDPR enforcement, which will occur on the 25th May 2018.
