Cyprus Investment Programme (CIP) undergoes change

September 11, 2019 | Immigration, Latest Thinking, News

Following a meeting of the Council of Ministers held in July 2019, the Cyprus Investment Programme (CIP) has been revised, and the changes are already effective. These are summarized below:

  • The requisite donation will now be payable only after the Citizenship application has been approved by the Council of Ministers.
  • The Council of Ministers will not grant Cypriot Citizenship through the Programme to individuals who fall into categories of high-risk.
  • The applicant can purchase securities on the secondary market of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) up to the value of €200,000, under the combination of investments.
