Changes for Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (ICT) migrants applying for settlement

April 30, 2011 | News

With effect from 6 April 2011 all Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (ICT) migrants applying for settlement will need to provide a letter from their employer that issued the Certificate of Sponsorship that led to the applicant’s last grant of leave certifying that:

  • They still require the applicant for the employment in question, and
  • The employee is paid at or above the appropriate rate for the job, on the date of application for settlement.

It is worth noting that the above requirements will also apply to any work permit holders.

If you have any questions regarding the above or need to understand how these changes will affect you, please send an email to one of our London immigration lawyers or at londoninfo@hudsonmckenzie.com.
